Song of the Waves - Anne Hampson I cried my eyes out few times while reading this book. It is an emotional read and it is done perfectly.
Winter Wedding (Best of Betty Neels) - Betty Neels It reminded me a bit of Cinderella with the selfish beautiful younger sister, the twin niece and nephew, working 18 hours a day,... The male lead character as in most Ms. Neels' books was 18+ years older...a successful rich Dutch doctor and she was once again a very average looking competent nurse. The evil other woman a heartless selfish gorgeous bitch. It amazes me that I keep enjoying her books even though they are basically the same characters and very similar plot lines.
How to Drive a Dragon Crazy - G.A. Aiken On par with other books in the series.
Sirocco - Anne Mather One of the best Anne Mather's book I read. The male lead character is quite a stalker, something that usually turns me off... but not in this book. For some reason I can't quite fathom I trusted him even when the author wanted me to question his actions.
I've Got Your Number - Sophie Kinsella Highly entertaining. Great for a quick read. I found myself laughing out loud few times.
Ravenwood's Lady - Amanda Scott 2.5 starsThis book very much reminded me of the Company of Rouges series by Jo Beverly except this is a more modern regency story with not as much attention paid in details and accuracy.Overall a very quick read.
Close Relations - Lynsey Stevens Emotionally charged and full of angst. I really don't want to give a way the plot but this is a page turner story. It has all those elements I love in a book. Good lead characters, reasonable pacing for the plot to develop fully and a vindictive bitch.
Marriage Meltdown - Emma Darcy I have seriously put off reading this book forever because I knew based on my friends reviews and the synopsis it would be a difficult book to read and I had to wait until I was in the right mood for it. This book reminded me a lot of The Ultimate Betrayal by Michelle Reid. I can basically copy/paste my review from the other book because they are that similar in setting, range of motions, angst factor,... If you want to read an angst-fest book about infidelity, you have found the right book. I really did not care much for the male lead or his nonchalant attitude about his impending infidelity. I do believe he had it right though and the ONLY reason his wife forgave him at the end was because she didn't want to lose the material security.
Inferno - Sherrilyn Kenyon Nick wasn't the sweet boy we have learned to love. In this book he started letting his hormones rule many of his decisions and not for the better. The epilogue was the best part of the book.
Madame Bovary - Gustave Flaubert, Paul De Man One of the books I read as a teenager that strengthened my values about future relationships and marriage.

Perfect

Perfect - Judith McNaught I was happy reading the book until the author did a 360 and turned Zachary into a big a**hole. I lost all interest when he got back to LA. The name dropping of all the famous people was so unnecessary and overdone. The Oscar moment was stupid. The book had so much potential and it went down the hill.

Mia and the Powerful Greek (Harlequin Presents)

Mia and the Powerful Greek (The Balfour Brides, #1) - Michelle Reid I really don't want to give the story away and I think the book synopsis is good enough to give the readers an understanding of what to expect.. The couple is well matched. The lead male character is emotionally scared; you only learn about his past in the last 10-15 pages but the readers know from right off the bat that he is shielding himself with very strong armor. The lead female character didn't have it easy either, but she was loved by her aunt. The little glimpses we get about her life back in Tuscany shows us where she gets her compassion, morality, and integrity from. The book has a moderate amount of angst, but nothing overwhelming. It is also less emotionally charged than a lot of Reid's other books. The chemistry between the couple is undeniable. I did question some of the words that were said in the office workplace but realized they were necessary for the plot.April 23, 2013In my opinion, The only book in the Balfour brides series worth reading.

The Brunelli Baby Bargain

The Brunelli Baby Bargain - Kim Lawrence 2.5 starsNothing spectacular but a cute quick read.
The Disobedient Virgin (Harlequin Presents) - Sandra Marton This is the third book of the Ramirez Brides Trilogy series and the other two books are: The Ramirez Bride by Emma Darcy & The Brazilian's Blackmailed Bride by Michelle Reid. This one has stands out because of the humor.
The Brazilian's Blackmailed Bride (Harlequin Presents) - Michelle Reid This is the Second book of the Ramirez Brides Trilogy series and the other two books are: The Ramirez Bride by Emma Darcy & The Disobedient Virgin by Sandra Marton.Just ok. and no where near what you typically expect from Michelle Reid. I actually thought this one was the worse in the series.
The Ramirez Bride (Harlequin Presents # 2487) - Emma Darcy 3.5 starsThe Ramirez Brides Trilogy is a multi-author written series. This is the first one and the other two books are: The Brazilian's Blackmailed Bride by Michelle Reid & The Disobedient Virgin by Sandra Marton.I believe this one was the best in the series.
