3.5 starsA good follow up that kept the series moving in the right direction. The emotional trauma and the physical abuse that took place in Eve's life when she was 15-16 years old still had quite an impact on her life. Eve needed to come to term with her past and take control of her life once again. Getting back on the saddle and riding a horse after 6 years allowed her to feel more empowered. Two things I love about this book are the way Eve's painful feeling of having done and experienced something dishonorable, improper, or foolish was related and also how Lucas allowed Eve to progress at a pace that felt right to her as far as moving forward in their relationship.
