I was truly disgusted by the arranged marriage and still can't stand Nick in any of the books, but this one made me read the rest of the series.Lucien's hot and cold behavior meant that as long as Elizabeth was with him, she was thrown into a cycle of inconsistency as she dealt with his drama, his highs and lows, and the uncertainty. He was emotionally unavailable and abusive and that is good indicator of things to come. I didn't buy into the HEA. I can see him getting a mistress few years into their marriage.
